Welcome to my blog.
This blog is long in coming. About 2 years ago I asked a brother how one or someone can put out information that may help others, he told me start a blog. There were many things running in my mind, a blog? what is a blog? This was new to me (did not google it).
I had no idea how blogs work and how information could be shared so easily. I thought nobody would want to hear from me, since I am not knowledgeable enough to put my words out there, but that has all changed.
I think sharing what I have experienced will help the next person who might be going through the same situation.
On April 21st this year my manager asked me to get her some chicken wings at a popular chicken place and I was delighted to do it for her (she is a great boss by the way). When I got there, I was tempered.
They have one of the tastiest fries in my opinion. I got the chicken and added fries to it. I knew what the fries was going to do to me, but I fell right into temptation. After about 45 minutes of eating those fries, I got sleepy.
Two hours later I was still sleepy, and it was time to go home. When I got home, I packed my car in front of my house and slept for about one hour before getting out. I got into the house and went straight to bed. I was not just sleepy, but very tried and drained. Through experience, I knew this was as result of eating the fries.
This experience “woke me up”. The next day I read about how pregnant African American women ranked high in pregnant women with preeclampsia and how the Mediterranean diet can help with the medical situation. I googled how to start a blog that very evening and bought a domain name – Black Health Money
This blog was created to give information about health and money. The “Black” aspect of the name of this blog is to honor my heritage as a child of the mother land AFRICA. Additionally when I needed answers, I hardly came across one of my own talking about how food affect our bodies.
My journey through health and how food affect our bodies is ongoing. It has gone from one size fit all to everybody is created uniquely. Therefore, when it comes to health one size does not fit all, it might fit to a point, but tweaking, and adjustments needs to be done along the way.
The health journey is a unique one, knowing how food affect our bodies is very interesting, putting it into practice is a whole different story all together. I once heard Myles Monroe of blessed memory say that acquiring knowledge is ONE THING, and doing what you have acquired is a different thing (paraphrase)
Money, Money, Money
It is great having you here visiting this page, hope you get enough information to help you on your journey.
